Our Story

Quality, not quantity

Twenty-nine years of professional hair care in Winchmore Hill, now gathered into one keratin system.

We have made quality our habit. It is not something we only aim for. We live by it every day, in the formulas and in the way the treatment is carried out.

Most of the work in the salon is forgotten. What stays is the hair: smoother, shinier, and easier to manage. That is the standard the Gh1 and Gh2 litres, and the aftercare pair, are built to.

Gh1 Purifying Hair Shampoo

Creates a clean base before the keratin treatment. The pH 9.0 formula opens the cuticle and deep-cleans, so the keratin can penetrate the hair more effectively and the treatment works harder.

Thoroughly wet the hair. Take a small amount into the palm, massage it through, rinse well once it has lathered, and repeat if the hair still feels coated.

Gh2 Protein Keratin Treatment

A blowout keratin cream for stubborn hair. It reduces frizz, leaves the hair smoother and more manageable, and strengthens the fibre against chemical treatments and heat. The finish protects against dryers, straighteners and curling irons, and helps with frizz and static. The line on the bottle is the one on this page: smooth, shiny, healthy hair.

Wash first, then dry with a dryer until the hair is about 70% dry. Do not towel-dry. Pour 30–40 grams into a non-metal bowl, section the hair, and apply from 1–2 cm off the scalp. Leave 10–15 minutes, blow-dry completely, then flat-iron. Leave the hair unwashed for 12 hours.

Keratin Aftercare Shampoo

The wash for the days after the appointment. It cleanses gently while keratin, biotin and panthenol nourish and strengthen hair that has been dried, coloured or heat-styled. The result is softer, shinier and easier to comb.

Keratin Aftercare Conditioner

Made to nourish, moisturise and repair hair that is dry, damaged or chemically treated. Keratin, hyaluronic acid and shea butter sit with conditioning agents that improve softness and manageability, so the salon finish lasts past the first wash.

Eleven steps to smooth, shiny, healthy hair

This is the salon sequence printed for Gold HairPlex. Gh1 prepares the hair. Gh2 does the work. Then the hair is left alone for twelve hours.

  1. Washing the hair with Gold HairPlex Gh1
    01 · Wash

    Wash with Gh1

    Use Gh1 Purifying Shampoo to lift impurities, oil and product build-up. Massage through, then rinse well. The hair should feel clear before anything else goes on.

  2. Drying the hair to about 70 percent
    02 · Dry to 70%

    Dry with a dryer, not a towel

    Dry the hair with a hair dryer until it is about 70% dry — still damp, not wet. Do not towel-dry. Gh2 needs that damp base.

    03 · Prepare

    30–40 grams of Gh2

    Pour 30–40 grams of Gh2 Protein Keratin Treatment into a non-metal bowl and mix it well. Add a little more if the hair is long or very thick.

    04 · Section

    Four to six sections

    Divide the hair into 4–6 sections so the cream goes on evenly. Work one section at a time and keep the rest clipped away.

05 · Apply

Three points on every section

Take a small amount and place it in three points: near the roots, through the mid-lengths, and on the ends. Keep it 1–2 cm away from the scalp. Use a brush the way you would apply colour — not a heavy coat. Comb through each section so the cream is even, then repeat until every section is done.

    06 · Comb through

    Even it out

    Gently comb each section again. The cream should sit along the hair, not in clumps, and not on the scalp.

  2. Leaving the keratin treatment on for 10 to 15 minutes
    07 · 10–15 minutes

    Leave it, and leave it down

    Leave the treatment on for 10–15 minutes. Do not tie the hair up. Keep it straight and let it stay with the product on.

  3. Blow-drying the hair completely after Gh2
    08 · Blow-dry

    Dry it completely

    Blow-dry the hair 100%, until there is no dampness left. The iron comes only after the hair is fully dry.

  4. Flat-ironing thin sections after the keratin treatment
    09 · Straighten

    200–230°C, thin sections

    Use a professional straightener on thin sections at 200–230°C. Pass each section about 5–8 times. This is what seals the keratin in.

10 · The result

Smooth, shiny, frizz-free

The hair should look healthy and feel soft, with the frizz laid down and a shine that reads as cared-for rather than coated.

11 · Aftercare

Twelve quiet hours

  • Leave the hair for 12 hours after the treatment.
  • Do not wash it, tie it, or get it wet in that time.
  • After 12 hours it can be washed.
  • For a longer result, wash at home with Gh1, then the aftercare shampoo and conditioner.

While it settles

  • Use sulphate-free products afterwards. The aftercare pair is made for this.
  • Avoid extra heat in the days after. The iron has already done its work.
  • UV protection is worth using. Sunlight works against a fresh keratin finish.
  • Suitable for all hair types — coloured, highlighted or natural.
